Starting kids on board games early is one of the best gifts you can give them. These games teach colors, counting, taking turns, and good sportsmanship — all while having fun. Here are our family's favorites for the youngest gamers.
Ages 3+
Candy Land: First Steps into Gaming
The sweet gateway to board games for toddlers. No reading required, just colors and imagination.
Ages 2+
My First Orchard: Cooperative Cuteness
Work together to pick fruit before the raven gets there. Perfect for teaching cooperation to toddlers.
Keep sessions short — 10-15 minutes is plenty for toddlers. Let them "win" sometimes (they'll learn to lose gracefully later). Make the game part of a routine, like after dinner or before bath time. And most importantly: play at their level, on the floor if needed, with full enthusiasm.
